Wedding Buzz of the Week: 201008 - "Lipservice doesn't equal action & results!" - 2.22.10

"Wedding Buzz of the Week" is a free weekly Wedding article from expert Brian Kelm, designed to educate, get your creative juices flowing, and inspire you to a picture-perfect Wedding full of success and life-long memories!

Every Monday in 2010, I will provide you with a different lesson covering an area of your Wedding that you may have never known or thought about before.

Talking about something doesn't create results, only by doing it.  Wedding professionals can say anything about how great they are or anything related to their ego running all over you...however when the rubber meets the road they have to prove it to you and your guests in real-time on the biggest day of your life...not such an easy thing unless they are committed to the work, effort and preparation it takes to keep those promises for themselves and to you (their client).

I would rather involve a couple into what we are creating rather than tell them as if they are excluded from the visuals and inner-workings.

Lipservice & "blah, blah, blah" to me doesn't do anything besides confuse people and further puts the professional on a silver pedestal with their ego leading the charge.  Anybody in anything they take seriously will tell you that to be successful takes years of hard work, effort & passion to seek improvement and ultimately achieve what they want to be knowing that this journey is ever-evolving, never stops, and up to the individual to determine for themselves how good & talented they want to be.

The work, sweat, time, and preparation of your Wedding professionals is the ONLY THING that either creates the results you are looking for or not so much period.  Human beings as a species don't want to be responsible for anything in life so why would they care about you & your day if it doesn't mean anything to them as a passion with emotion, substance & not a paycheck?

True professionals speak quietly in public about what they do & let their preparation, actions, and results speak for themselves.  They are so concerned about mastering their lines, making what they do look easy/seamless, and working on their craft that they don't ahve time or want to run up their ego about events that happened in the past when here is now.

There is no mistaking professionals the results of those who take action for your special day with passion, determination, and commitment vs. those that will talk to whoever maybe listening and make excuses/complain about why things didn't go as planned....Who would you rather have represent you?  The choice is yours?
