Wedding Buzz of the Week: 201003 - "What is your cost...for the perfect Wedding?" - 1.18.10

< Back

"Wedding Buzz of the Week" is a free weekly Wedding article from expert Brian Kelm, designed to educate, get your creative juices flowing, and inspire you to a picture-perfect Wedding full of success and life-long memories!

Every Monday in 2010, I will provide you with a different lesson covering an area of your Wedding that you may have never known or thought about before.

I can hardly believe that the first month of the New Year is cruising by and half way over...Wow!!!

For the week of January 18th, this discussion will focus exclusively on the costs of your Wedding, other than the implied monetary ones.  My intentions are by the end to give you a fresh perspective of how you can look at your special day & go from there!

Everything in life has a price - buying a house, traveling, hobbies, falling in love, and possessions to name a few.  What you need to save, invest, sacrifice, and budge all comes into play and doesn't happen over night.  To get what you want takes a lot of thinking, focus & preparation.  The last thing most people (couples) want to do is wast their hard-earned dollars on a quick fix and not receiving all the intangible feelings, emotions & reactions that can be visualized like: peace of mind, stress-free, seamless, easy, fun & valuable.  Granted, all of the above words are subjective yet either derived by the buyer or not when a purchase is made.

When it comes to your Wedding, what are you not willing to give up or sacrifice for a perfect day?  Is it value?  Quality?  Credibility/Reputation?  Time?  Convenience?  Ideas? or Creativity?  As you look into these things, you will start to see where spaces could be opened up for you and where the time is money debate could be put to use & offer you better efficiency to your planning process, professionals, and how you feel before, during & after the biggest day of your life.

If saving time, trust, commitment, value, organization, expertise & accommodations are the most important to you you, then your revenue is better spent on professionals who will take you on a journey of sorts with a plethora of options for you to choose.

If saving money, getting the best deal, negotiating, spending your time & doing things on your own is no big deal than anybody will do to fill the voids for your day.

Remember, the price you pay for anything (vehicles, housing, & professionals) is directly-proportional to the quality you receive & the results of their work.

As a couple, you can make more money after you get married; however, you only get one shot per attempt at the biggest day of your life...what is the cost of the 1 & only try worth to you - the choice is all yours?
